As the protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us, we strictly comply with the applicable legal requirements of the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when collecting and processing your personal data.
Below, we provide detailed information on the scope and purpose of our data processing as well as your rights as a data subject. Please therefore read this Privacy Policy carefully before continuing to use our website and, where applicable, before giving your consent to data processing.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, different rules may apply to the use of individual services, and we will inform you separately of such cases.
Apart from the cookies possibly described in more detail below, we generally only collect and store the data that you yourself provide to us by entering it into our input forms or otherwise actively interacting with our website.

Personal data going beyond the information stored by cookies is processed by us in the course of operating our website only if you voluntarily provide it to us, for example by registering with us, entering into a contractual relationship with us or otherwise contacting us. This concerns only contact data and information relating to the matters with which you approach us.
We use the personal data you provide exclusively to the extent necessary for fulfilling the respective purpose of the processing (e.g. registration, newsletter distribution, processing an order, sending information material and advertising, conducting a competition, answering a question, or enabling access to certain information) and where such processing is legally permissible, in particular pursuant to Art. 6 and, where applicable, Art. 9 GDPR.
The purpose of processing your data is the operation of our website and the targeted provision of company-specific information, including the presentation of our goods and services (marketing).
Any further use of your data only takes place if you have previously given your express consent, if we require your data for the performance of a contract concluded with you, or if we are obliged to retain it on the basis of a legal provision. You may revoke any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
In general, we use personal data of our customers, suppliers and other contractual and cooperation partners, e.g. contact persons, their contact details and marketing-relevant information, on the basis of our legitimate interests, for example for marketing and customer support purposes.
In addition, we collect personal data of interested parties (e.g. contact persons, their contact details and marketing-relevant information) in the course of our acquisition and sales activities. We carry out all of the measures listed here on the basis of our legitimate interests for marketing purposes pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Recital 47, for a period of three years from the end of a contractual relationship (customers & suppliers) or from our initial unsuccessful contact (interested parties), unless the data subject has given express consent extending beyond this period.
If we do not collect personal data for marketing purposes directly from the data subject, we also inform the data subject, upon first contact and in accordance with Art. 14 GDPR, where we obtained their data.
Data that you have provided to us exclusively for customer support or for marketing and information purposes is generally stored until three years after our last contact. However, if you wish, we will also delete your data before the expiry of this period, provided there is no legal obligation or other legal obstacle preventing this.
In the event of contract initiation or conclusion, we process your personal data after complete performance of the contract until the expiry of the warranty, guarantee, limitation and statutory retention periods applicable to us, and beyond that until the end of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.
Data that you may submit to us in the course of an application process will be retained for a period of 6 months only, unless separate consent has been given.
If retention is legally required, we comply with the retention period prescribed by law. If we process your personal data for purposes beyond those set out in this Privacy Policy, for example on the basis of a legitimate interest, we will inform you separately before commencing such processing.
Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so, the transfer of data is necessary for the performance of a contractual relationship concluded between us, or you have expressly consented in advance to the transfer of your data.
Your personal data will not be sold or otherwise marketed to third parties by us.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. In this context, data may also be processed by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This service uses cookies, the functionality of which has already been described in detail above. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website is generally transmitted to Google servers and stored there.
On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services related to website and internet use to the website operator.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Austrian Data Protection Act, you as the data subject are entitled to the following rights and legal remedies:
As a data subject, you have the right to request information as to whether and, if so, which personal data concerning you is being processed. For your own protection, so that no unauthorised person obtains information about your data, we will verify your identity in an appropriate manner before providing such information.
You have the right to request without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you or, taking into account the purposes of the processing, the completion of incomplete personal data, as well as the erasure of your data, provided that the requirements of Art. 17 GDPR are met.
Under the statutory conditions, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of all collected personal data. From the time of the restriction request, such data will only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
You may request the unhindered and unrestricted transfer of personal data that you have provided to us, to yourself or to a third party.
For reasons arising from your particular situation, you may object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you that is necessary for safeguarding our legitimate interests or those of a third party. Your data will no longer be processed after your objection unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You may also object at any time, with effect for the future, to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
If you have separately given consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw this consent at any time. Such withdrawal affects the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data only for the future after you have declared the withdrawal to us.
If you take action to enforce your rights listed above under the GDPR, STP-Controls must respond to your request without undue delay and, in any event, no later than within one month of receipt of your request.
We will respond to all reasonable requests free of charge within the legal framework and as promptly as possible.
